Round 4 of the Schumacher BTCC took place at the fantastic Cotswold track located on Kemble airfield. The track has proved over the past years to be a real challenge for drivers due to its high speed nature but remains the most popular track on the UK calendar. A full entry of 120 drivers booked into the event and with sunshine greeting the drivers on race day it looked to be a great event.

Team XRAY were out in force and using the event to gain some valuable data for the BRCA national held on the following weekend. After four rounds of qualifying Olly Jefferies was able to take TQâ™ spot in the open modified class after a long battle with Elliott Harper throughout the four qualifying rounds. James Hart lined up in sixth place with his T4'14.

The final would turn out to be a great battle as the top three battled for the entire race nose to tail with Olly Jefferies eventually crossing the line to take the win with Elliott Harper in second and Chris Grainger in third. James Hart was able to capitalize on his great start to come home fourth 6 seconds behind the leaders.

In the 13.5 stock class Zak Finlay would line up in third place for the single leg A final. The 13.5 A final would be the most popular of the day. The battle for second place went down to the final lap with Zak being able to take the position after a great pass on the final corner, during the final lap the positions changed twice and it was a great display of hard but fair racing.
